About the NZ theory test
The car learner licence theory test has 35 multiple-choice questions, and you need at least 32 correct to pass.
You typically have 30 minutes to complete the 35-question test at an official testing centre.
Yes. Motorcycle and heavy vehicle learner licences each have their own theory test covering rules specific to that vehicle type, in addition to general Road Code knowledge. We offer free practice tests for both.
